Re: P2 Cars: Blower Motor Replacement (How To)

Thank you. Hopefully somebody finds it useful. It's also helpful, at times, to slow down and take some pictures. It gives me time to think things through.

Re: P2 Cars: Blower Motor Replacement (How To)

2001 V70 Fan Blower Motor Replacement I've had trouble with my interior climate control blower fan squealing at startup, more persistently when it's cold out. The problem has become more frequent over the past year, so I finally decided it was time to replace the blower motor. The first post in this...

I killed a Gremlin! Woohoo!

Thank you for the advice. This was by far one of the easier jobs that I've done on my V70. I pulled the alternator, removed the black plastic cover on the rear of the alternator, removed the old regulator and then reassembled with the new. The most difficult part of the entire job was getting the se...

Re: 2001 V70 non-turbo Electrical Gremlin - trashing batteri

I pretty much figured the gray rock was parked until I could resolve this issue. I found Bosch regulator W0133-1831812 and think I'm going to head that route. I want to repair things correctly, but don't want to sink too much money into this old, high mileage car. Any other opinions related to this ...

2001 V70 non-turbo Electrical Gremlin - trashing batteries

I started this topic in another section, but my saga has evolved into something that needs to migrate into the V70 arena. If you don't want to read the whole story, skip to the last paragraph for the root question and please provide me with your thoughts and experiences. Thank you! Car: 2001 V70 wit...

Re: Brake Failure Please Stop ASAP error...plus lights galor

Back from the auto parts store where I purchased a cheapie 1.5 amp battery charger and a digital multimeter ($50 total... cheaper than an hour at the local shop). Initial multimeter voltage across battery posts was not reading. I hooked up jumper cables from my running car and, after a few minutes p...

Re: Brake Failure Please Stop ASAP error...plus lights galor

Ahhhh, the saga continues for several of us. Here's my short and not too sweet story. 2001 V70 153,000 miles. For the past year, a SRS light has been on, dealer cleared once stating the control unit popped a "low voltage" error. Last Friday, 4/23/2010, my wife calls me on her way to work t...

Re: 2006 S60 Fuel Gauge Stops Working

I am having a similar problem on my 2001 V70. Headed to the local independent shop and he found the left side fuel level sending unit is bad. My fuel gauge would only work between 3/4 full and 1/4 empty, but missed the top and bottom ends. It also failed to show a low fuel warning light. Mechanic ho...

Hey 1esotericguy, did you find a solution? I'm still tolerating my intermittent seat control but would love to fix it.

Re: V70 2001 Driver's power seat problem with intermittent power

My V70 is at the dealer to have a new key made and program a new keyless entry (to the tune of $360 total!!!... wiping blood off of my back side...) programmed since I had none with I purchased the car new. I had them spend time poking around the car as well for $108/hr in labor and they came up wit...
