SO I played around with mine again this weekend. Took my body off my car and took it apart. This time I used lead plumbing solder to close the hole. It melts at a much lower temp- and I figure if somehow it works out- its soft so it should pass! (hopefully) :roll:

Well dont try to braze the 850 throttle body plate!
Too much heat to get it to flow and it warps the plate! :(
Thats 40 bucks from the pick and pull down the drain!
Next time I will try soldering it or maybe RTV or Marine epoxy.
The plates ARE brass- so they should be solderable- I should have ...

You have seen this happen to others- that is so strange!
Its such a strange thing- it makes the 1-2 shift fine then a second later the engine runs away from the trans (if that makes sense) let your foot out of it and slowly accelerate and it seems to be ...

Strange that the cam sensor would make the trans go wonky! ROck auto has them I am going to look on Ebay too.
"Made in Japan" is this a common thing for the cam sensor to effect?

Yah- I did do it 3 times- I figured since it was already doing this it couldnt hurt. It didnt get any worse (or better for that matter)
