2016 s80
Urgent: I am stranded today in SC, squealing coming from under hood. Removed oil cap and it stops, which tells me the most likely cause is failed PCV valve. Is it safe to drive car home (175 miles) or to nearest dealer (40 miles) or should I have it towed? Need reply NOW if possible! (Update: drove ...

Re: Buzzing coming from the dash of my 2011 S80
Sorry to resurrect my post after such a long time! Source of the noise has been found (although not yet fixed!) In the past I had a bad habit of storing my parking receipts or cleaning tickets in the CD player - not far enough to be pulled in, but easily to be seen and remembered. Oops! On at least ...

Re: Buzzing coming from the dash of my 2011 S80
With no replies, I'm going to schedule the car into the local dealer to check it out. Thanks to all who read and were as confused as I am, and I will report back once I find the cause!

Buzzing coming from the dash of my 2011 S80
My 2011 S80 has 124,000 miles and still enjoy driving it very much! I just noticed in the past week a buzzing coming from the top center portion of the dashboard, just above and behind the radio display panel. It is a very clear buzzing (sounds just like a pager or phone set to "vibrate") ...

Re: MVS is 20!
Matthew, congratulations on developing one of the most useful sites on the internet! As a long-time Volvo owner and having been a registered member of your site for the past 13 years, I come here first when something goes wrong! After buying my first brand new Volvo in 1975 (1975 242 GLO) I learned ...

2011 S80 Bluetooth and iPhone 12 Not Connecting
I've also posted this on Apple's Development Forum as I suspect that this may be an iPhone 12 HW or SW problem, but my problem is unique to the 2011 S80, so wondering if it could be car-related. I can't reliably pair my iPhone 12 with my 2011 S80 Bluetooth. I know how to do it, so no need for descri...

Re: WIndshield Phone Mount
Thanks. Based on those videos, it looks like the windshield itself remains clear if I want to install the mount on the left side.

WIndshield Phone Mount
I have both a 2011 and a 2016 S80 and have purchased a Spigen One Tap Pro Phone Mount. I had planned to mount it on the left side near the A-pillar, but was reminded when I looked that there is an A-pillar air bag and I don't want my phone and mount to become missles aimed at either the driver or pa...

Re: Windshield Leak - 2011 S80
Local glass repair shop broke the windshield pulling it out for the repair. They indicated that they have had a 50/50 probability of breaking Volvo windshields when removing them for this repair (and apparently removing the windshield is the only way to complete the repair properly). However, the rep...

Windshield Leak - 2011 S80
My wife's 2006 S800 3.2 was recently totaled - but she walked away, another testament to the Volvo's safe design. We replaced it with a 2011 S80 3.2. It has been a dry fall in Atlanta and the car is garaged, but with recent rains, we realized that there was a small leak at the top of the windshield ...
