Re: Upper engine mount bushing : stock vs. Poly Urethane
178K and you haven't changed your mounts yet? My top one was bad before 90K miles and the others were changed around 120K. If it's split, yes, your engine rocks back and forth and causes more pressure on the other ones and you feel vibrations- certain, your lower speed issues could be (no, they pro...

Re: Upper engine mount bushing : stock vs. Poly Urethane
I have a 850 T5 '94 with auto tranmission and have noticed of late a vibration on the car which travels through the car if this makes sense. The top engine mount is split ( above gearbox ) do these cause that much of a vibration, or is it just possibly all the mounts need changing at 178k. At the s...

850 T5 94 MY Estate Heated seats
Has any 850 been built / fitted with heated rear seats ( base seat ) There are two multiplugs similiar to the heated seat arrangment on the front taped to the loom on the rear seats as you lift them. At the rear of the console above the ash tray there are two blanks which could house the switches? ...

850 T5 94 MY 2 in 1
Two simple questions in one here I think. 1-The ignition key can be taken out of the ignition in any position. When placed in park the vehicle does lock i.e the transmission. 2- Changing the bulbs in the fog lamp switch and the Tracs switch I removed a blanking plate between the two in order to pus...

Re: 850SE Estate2.0 Auto 20 valve 1993 Engine whistle when cold
This is weird. This was my exact posting that I thought of tonight. Exactly the same symptom. The only thing I have noticed is a split pipe on the radiator cowling to the ECM on the o/s by the washer bottle. However having just done the sepertine belt I neglected to lubricate the tensioners so it m...

Re: v70-850 Exhaust Manifold Question
Around three hrs inc taking / drawing the turbo back as well, . It was better than spending £120+VAT at the dealer, they wanted six hrs to do the job.

Re: v70-850 Exhaust Manifold Question
Do you know where the damage is etc on the manifold. Personally i would replace the system on the car. Who is to say that the repair will last and then you are back to square one. Having just changed the one on my 850 t 5 and did'nt find it that difficult.

Re: 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo running rough , hard to start
I would pull the codes out of it. I would hope to see a temp sensor fault or something along those lines. It could be giving the engine managment system a false reading. Look at your induction hoses especially those on the turbo to see if anything has come off. Clean the throttle body, and the IAC ...
