Re: Is there a best place to get parts? (APO military overs

FCP? I haven't heard of them. I've only ever used PartsAmerica.com before for a Chevy. I've never ordered parts for my Volvo other than a headlamp that wasn't compatible. I'll check them out.

Is there a best place to get parts? (APO military overseas)

I am the owner of a 2001 V70 T5 with 17" wheels, living in Korea with a military APO address. My car needs new front discs/rotors and brake pads and new front suspensions. I have the part numbers from the service center here in Korea and they want to charge roughly 1,900,000 korean won ($1700 U...

Re: US-Bought V70 T5 now in Korea with a bad ETM

Guess who saved (or at least delayed the spending of) $1000? I took my car in today as recommended by the mechanic here. He wanted to download software from my car. It took him several attempts and 2.5 hours. When he finished, he told me to drive around the parking lot and tell me to listen for/feel...

Wanted: Keyless Entry Remote

2001 V70 T5 has one working remote while the other is toast.

Where can I acquire a working remote? (Any place other than eBay?)

(I live in Korea and the dealership here says they don't have any.)

Re: US-Bought V70 T5 now in Korea with a bad ETM

:) Okay, here is an update and another question: I called the hotline at 1030 pm my time and got hold of a real person. I gave her the VIN off the original bill of sale I have a copy of. I noticed that the car was not purchased in KS (as I thought) but in Aviano, Italy through Volvo Car Internationa...

Re: US-Bought V70 T5 now in Korea with a bad ETM

Thank you for your quick reply!!! I will attempt to communicate with the dealership here about having it covered under warranty, although there is a pretty strong language barrier. Yesterday, the repairman showed no indication of any knowledge of any warranty. The dealer here had no problem getting ...

US-Bought V70 T5 now in Korea with a bad ETM

I bought my 2001 V70 T5 back in June in Korea from an Army officer who didn't want to pay to ship it to his next duty station. I am the thrid owner of this vehicle. (The original owner bought it in Kansas.) It has 56k miles on it. I noticed a surging idle shortly after purchasing the vehicle. I fina...
