2004 XC90 - ECM DTC SET

Good Morning All, I have a 2004 xc90 with about 135,000 miles. My check engine light came on and I checked the codes quickly and found that the ECM DTC seems to be the culpret. I am an AVERAGE mechanic at best but I am wondering does this typically mean the entire ECM module needs to be replaced or ...

2004 XC90 fuel smell

Hello, I have a 2004 xc90 with approximately 130k miles. I am smelling fuel outside the cabin. My kids drive the car primarily but I can smell the fuel when I walk past the car in the driveway etc. There are no check engine lights on, there is no dripping under the car nor do I hear any fans running...

Re: 2004 XC 90 Fuel Filter Leaking???

Thanks so much for the information. I did end up getting a new filter today and replaced it. Per your DIY and some other research it took all of 15 minutes to do. The old filter was very corroded so that hopefully is the root cause. It has the tape on the couplers so I am guessing it was the origina...

2004 XC 90 Fuel Filter Leaking???

Hello Forum, I have a '94 XC 90 with about 112,000 miles. The other day I started to notice the smell of fuel and think I have spotted a leak. I am not too well versed when it comes to cars but very much appreciate the advice of all those on this forum. I think I have found the source of the leak an...

1994 xc90 Fuel Smell @ startup and shut down

Hello Everyone, I have a '94 xc90 with 110,000 miles. The car runs fine and has served us well. Recently I have noticed that when I shut the car down and exit the vehicle I smell gas. I can also smell it when I start the car. There is nothing visual to indicate anything - meaning no smoke or anythin...

1994 xc90 Door Handle Coming Apart

Hello Everyone, My '94 xc90 has 110,000 miles. The rear passenger door handle is starting to come off the side of the car. Not the actual handle itself but the part behind it. I can't tell what purpose this part of the handle serves over than where you would put your thumb for pressure when opening ...

2004 XC 90 Door Handles loose

Good Morning, I have an '04 xc90 3.2 with about 106k miles. I have noticed over the last year or so that the door handles are becoming loose on the outside. They still function as they should however I am seeing more and more "play" in each of them over time as they are used. Is there a wa...

Rear section center console wont stay connected

Hi, I have an '04 xc90 2.5 AWD with about 105,000 miles. I have a seemingly minor problem that is the source of quite a bit of frustration. Typically when a passenger gets in the front of the car they lean on the rear section of the center console. Most of the time the rear section separates from th...
