Re: Suspension code, varian code?
I would have assumed the chassis number and VIN are one and the same. But what do I know?

Re: 07 xc70 lukewarm heat am stumped
Run CCM calibration (DiCE/VIDA required). You may have a faulty blend door actuator. Common problem. I believe the specialist I took it to did that but going to text him to confirm. But that had we thinking about the climate control module and how to rule out if it's gone bad or not. Apart from ord...

Re: 07 xc70 lukewarm heat am stumped
Remember that temp measured at firewall (using infrared reader) is temp of the plastic pipe and not the temp of the coolant entering or exiting the firewall. Yes I’ve thought about the coolant inside the hoses being hotter than the plastic pieces on the outside. However, both hoses will be subject ...

Re: 07 xc70 lukewarm heat am stumped
As Matthew’s attachment points out, the inlet temp should be somewhere close to engine temp which would be in the neighborhood of 185-190? Benbug is seeing 140. I would be surprised if there is really a 45 deg drop in temp in the hose between the engine and firewall. Benbug, is your engine temp gaug...

Re: 07 xc70 lukewarm heat am stumped
A 30 deg drop between connections does sound like a lot but I don’t know what would be considered normal. It kinda sounds like the coolant is moving through the core very slowly. When you saw the 30 deg drop was the blower fan running and was it blowing strongly, albeit not real hot, out of the floo...

Re: Possible Fuel Pressure Sensor/Regulator & MAF Issue
Years ago I had fuel pressure sensors fail on both of our Volvos. One car was a 2003 V70 2.4 NA and the other was a 2005 S80 2.5 Turbo. On the NA car it threw a fault code before I ever felt any miss in the running. However, in the turbo, it would occasionally miss and stutter LONG before it FINALLY...

Re: Possible Fuel Pressure Sensor/Regulator & MAF Issue
I’m curious, if the fuel pressure sensor is sending false information then will the app present that same (false) info?

Re: 2001 s60 !---Totally Stumped on Engine Misfire
Hey yabadabadoo, fellow Atlantan here…… I don’t see anywhere in this thread any mention of what kind of spark plugs you’re using. The Volvo 5 cylinder engines LOVE the good old fashion copper core plugs - the cheapest type plugs you can buy. I know this goes against the advice of all the main stream...

Re: No heat in Vermont from 2003 xc70
So the more air you blow across the core, the colder it is. I think CN90 may be on to something with the idea of a partially plugged-up core. At this point I think I would disconnect the heater hoses at the front side of the firewall (twist disconnect) and shoot water through the core with a garden ...
