Have you tried to read the codes?

I think you should erase the codes and the next time the car will not start, immediatly read the codes. It should give you a better idea.

Did you try to read the codes?

On my 1994 850, the diagnostic modul is just beside the windshield washer funnel. For 1993 and 1994, not so sure about the years, you didn't need the code reader. If you have that module and you need some help, feel free to ask me some questions and I'll do my best to help you out.
