I'll do it tonight. right now i am at work. I am using a chilton (sp?) manual and its just about as good as an shop manual i have seen ( i work at a ford dealership)

i stayed up a while last night doing some reading. all you have to do come to find out is remover your front rotors/cv axles. remove axles from tranny, disconnect all lines leading into the tranny then unbolt it. remove the flexplate in my case, extract offending seal, replace and reinstall all thos...

yeah mine is a non-turbo 2.4L. looks like i get to drop he tranny one weekend. :D do these tranmissions (automatics) have a filter in them? dumb question but I havent found one place online that sales a filter for the transmission

he said MAP (manifold absolue pressure) not MAS air. If it is something "stupid" like the difference in barometric pressure then in a given number of key cycles if the computer (1996 and up or OBD II) does not detect the fault again it will reset itself.

How is the car running?

Rear main seal.

Okay, found this out tonight. I have a nice little oil leak between my tranny and engine block. Guessing its the rear main. Oil pressure is looking good but I am NOT going to let this leak go unchecked. Has anyone done this repair and is it as bad as it looks? I would really like to keep from having...
