Re: V8 Yamaha Transmission
Thanks MIJ. Did you get that out of Vida? This is for checking, but is there a section on changing it? I'm wondering how much will come out if you pull the drain plug. I just did 2 1700km drives (to Georgia and back) and while I was down there checked into having the tranny flushed at the dealer, as...

Re: V8 Yamaha Transmission
The little yellow dipstick handle is way down low below the air intake piping...just off center of from your engine, towards the front of the car and to the right...it is hard to see- it also has a catch on it...you'll have to grab it under the handle to turn the catch loose. I think a drain and fi...

V8 Yamaha Transmission
I'll be towing a fair bit with my XC V8 and I realize that Volvo says they are one of those 'should never need service' units. I've had good reliablility on a couple previous vehicles I've towed with by doing a quick trans oil change occassionally, usually around every 20k kms or so. By quick, I mea...

Re: Air filter recommendation
I've seen several tests on K&N's for different cars, trucks and motorcycles. I've also used a couple, but that was in a carburated car and bike that didn't see very dusty/dirty conditions. The overall consensous seems to be that they pass more air initially because they don't filter the smallest...

Re: Drivers door panel removal XC90
Looking at the parts list there are 9 clips. I should also have added that after re-connecting the battery you will need to initialize the upper electronic module which controls the central locking, interior lighting and sun roof if fitted. This is done by unlocking the car using the remote control...

Re: 2007 XC90 V8 Are there any concerns?
I believe any reported sunroof leak problems are caused by debris in the drain tubes. I saw somewhere that had a how-to to clean them out. An elbow where the drain hose goes into the door body panel seems to be the culprit. Design problem? Maybe, but most cars with sunroofs use the designs of rubber...
