Re: 07 xc70 no cabin heat or a/c
Thank you for all the replies. My son's car is away with him in Northeast PA so I'm not near it. The thermostat and new ETS are working properly. He did disconnect the battery for a while and reset the car. The fan operates properly, turning off and on as temp requires. The climate control still doe...

Re: 07 xc70 no cabin heat or a/c
The fan comes on as soon as you start the car even if it has been sitting overnight. No matter the coolant temp the fan is on. The fan does turn off when the ignition is turned off. It does not keep running as if relay or module breaks and fails closed.

Re: 07 xc70 no cabin heat or a/c
We replaced the thermostat and housing, purchased one from NAPA. The fan still runs when the car is started but the reservoir is circulating and increasing in temperature. Still no heat in the cabin from the vents. Both the hoses are nice and hot when the car is up to temp . I will look at the cabin...

07 xc70 no cabin heat or a/c
I purchased a 07xc70 over the summer. When winter came the heat did not work. This summer the a/c did work as it should have. The two hoses that go through the firewall, for the heater core, are both hot but do not feel like fluid is circulating through them. Is their a valve on the heater core that...

Re: 1998 V70R RN swap
I guess I should ask. Are all 2.3 engines HPT and 2.4 LPT? Also any clearance issues with the angle gear with engines that came out of non AWD cars? I was going to try to use a 99 or 2000 engine.

1998 V70R RN swap
The other day my old 2.3 in my 98 V70R lost oil pressure and now has a rod knock. Im going to replace the the engine with a RN engine. I would like to replace it with a low pressure turbo engine. My question is do I have to replace it with a AWD engine because of clearance issues of the angle gear? ...

Re: 1998 v70r vacuum leak
My last hope before taking the car to the volvo repair shop worked. I added a can of 44k fuel system cleaner and for the last hour of driving no problems. The car sat for a month while I did a bunch of work to it and must have went bad. Could an injector been stuck? I was getting about 35 psi at the...
