Re: 97' S70 Random Stalling
It might also be worth checking the AIC (automatic idle control) valve for cleanliness and smooth operation. When the AIC gets gunked up, it can get jammed and cause stalling.

Re: 1996 850R - Large fuel leak from front of car, disappeared on its own?
Yes, the charcoal canister and vent valve are mounted in the driver side wheel well. The vent valve is closer to the driver and the canister is closer to the front of the car. I have heard that it is possible that the charcoal canister can get flooded with liquid gasoline (and not just the vapors it...

Re: Quality Suspension Components
I used a jack to raise up the control arm to set the 'normal ride height'. The classic description from Ozark Lee is well worth reading here: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=269247#p269247 Here are the last steps in his write-up: "9 ) Use a jack underneath the control arm, a...

Re: Quality Suspension Components
I have had good luck with the Lemforder control arms. On my '97 855, the original Volvo arms failed in the ball joints after about 13 years. I installed the Lemforders about 9-10 years ago and they have been working fine with no problems since then.

Re: Acceleration problem on 1995 850 Turbo
Welcome to the site KS1918. To help the diagnosis process, it might be helpful if you could let us know what has already been done and checked on the car. Have any parts been replaced recently? Did the symptom come on suddenly or was it gradual?

Quick Sunday Afternoon Tool Tip for tightening hose clamps on turbo outlet hose 31261370
Just a quick Sunday afternoon tip to report on a good tool combination that helped fix a small problem: A 1/4" drive miniature breaker bar with a 7mm socket is slim enough to fit into the tiny space around the turbo outlet hose.
