Can I turn this off? Every place I call to reset will not without a diagnostic. The cheapest one was the dealer and they wanted $120. I do not want to pay anything just to turn this light off.

I've never done this before (let alone anything but put gas in my car), however with the information I picked up from your site I had the confidence to got out in 25 degree weather and fixed my volvo. Of course when it is cold the brake freezes up. The problem is that by the time I bring it to a mechanic, they tell me that they cannot find anything wrong with the parking brake, however I need new pads and rotors. Maybe from driving the first 5 miles all winter with the parking brake engaged?
