I used 87 for my first year of driving. It was okay I thought. Now I run 89 and the car feels A LOT better. I also tried 91, but the only thing I noticed was a slight decrease in mileage (heavy foot maybe...).

You can have a leaking RMS and no problems with the PCV. That's what I'm (was) having. No smoke from the dipstick, no oil coming out of the cap...yet terrible leak from the RMS, which soaks the underside of the transmission. I was losing a quart every 500 miles.

It depends a lot on your area...here in the Appalachian mountains I get about the same as yours - 23/24mpg.
When I east to VA I get as much as 30/31mpg, because of the flat surface.

I'd be interested to read which ones fit the 850 too. I'm looking for a cheap set as well (not necessarily OEM).
