What is the air pressure in the tires? Both over and under inflation can cause tires to loose traction in a turn resulting in unwanted tire noise...not to mention potential safety issues.

The timing belt has to come off to replace the water pump and it certainly won't hurt anything to change it now.

However, if you do let them change it now go ahead and have them put in a new tensioner...otherwise you'll be pulling it all back apart in 35K miles to do the tensioner. Basically have ...

Once you figure out how easy it is to change oil, you may want to learn how to do other maintenance work yourself. This means more tools will be needed. Sooner or later you'll need a tool box to keep everything together.

Typically you bend valves when the timing belt brakes, not rods. I suppose if a valve head snapped off, broke the combustion chamber and let in coolant you might bend the rod on that one cylinder.

My 98 V70 was hit this afternoon in the front passenger side. A Honda Accord impacted my front passenger side tire with it's front bumper and drug the bumper all the way down the body until the end of the back passenger side door.

I've contacted the insurance company and am waiting on an adjuster ...

Has anyone tried to Moog K90229 replacement front spring seat? If so how does it compare to the IPD/factory seat?

On my 97 one of the hood latches had a problem and it caused a rattle in the front corner. The latch was replaced under warranty and the noise went away.

I've got a rattle in the front suspension of my V70 (roughly 82K miles) and I'm trying to determine if it's the spring seats or the sway bar links. Is there an easy way to look for a bad spring seat? I'm assuming this are the original factory pieces.

Have you had the tires balanced? Also are you certain one (or both) are not out of round?

Does the vibration seem to happen in a specific speed range? I once rode in a full sized Blazer where both front tires were out of round. Between 55 and 65 MPH it would just about shake the doors open, above ...
