I have a 2008 S40. The brake light left side, will come on for 1 second, then goes out. Right side is OK.
What to check for.
I am under warranty, just need a week or so to get to the dealer, and want to know what problem might be.
Bulbs--fuses look OK.

My wife tried to start her 08 20k miles s40 this morning.
It made sound like starter not engaged.
All lights on, plenty of volts.
After a third try, it started.
Light on dash said skid ??? service required?
Any idea whats up with this?

Does a 2008 S40, 2.4 5 speed auto have a drain plug for the transmission?
The dip stick is in the low position, under the air filter.

2008 S40, do the calipers press back like other cars, when changing REAR pads.
I heard about screwing the front ones back, but does this apply to rear as well?
