Re: Warning, Replace your cooling system hoses ASAP

Robert I like these kind of basic heads-up (especially since you have the same car I do) since life just gets so busy, it's not like hoses are going to cross my mind. I like my car and want to keep it for a long time.

Need mechanic in St. Louis, MO

I usually tackle most of what I can myself / sometimes with the help of a friend but, I'd really like to find a Volvo-wise & friendly mechanic for my 94 855 Wagon (only 135K on mah bebeh!). Mine finally admitted he hates working on them.
Would love to see it make it to 300!

Re: EGR Cleaning

Just completed the EGR cleaning yesterday (@127K) and thought the attached picture might help with wrenching out the 8mm hidden bolt on the valve. A midwell socket would have helped but we managed to get enough of a shallow well on it (and a hair less would've = fail) once the wrench angle was figur...

Re: How to read your actual miles from the ECU

Did this on my 94 850 wagon and it worked perfectly. thanks for posting. you knew more than my dealer did. he said there was no way to get the mileage off the car once the odometer stopped working. :)

Re: 94 850 Help me identify these parts

Thanks again! Hey, funny coincidence (since you mentioned Darrell Waltrip) when I checked them out for a new glove box latch like you suggested, I realized by looking at their web site that they were the nice guys who fixed a problem, at no charge, i had with my steering wheel during a visit with my...

Re: 94 850 Help me identify these parts

Thanks guys. I had a feeling that's what the silver doohickeys were. The black one concerns me more. It looks like there's a screw supposed to go through there. Since I've been driving the car for 3 years without them and nothing's seemingly wrong, i may just have to live with it until i have to wor...

94 850 Help me identify these parts

Three years ago my nephew and I replaced the evaporator. Last night I mentioned an annoying squeak I was tracking down in the dash. He hands me these parts and says they were "leftover" from the evaporator job. He meant to tell me about it at the time. Honest! I know it's my fault....
