Engine runs fairly smooth but only in low RPM like 1000 with rare hiccups. There are no misfires. I do not know how to test the fuel pressure. Only thing I can think is to take the line off the filter while it is running. But that sounds messy and dangerous.
Any suggestions?

Thanks! But would you say it is a safe to say if the measuring stick shows well above minimum but not over max that it is safe to operate even if the light comes on at the same short time period.
