My a/c blower motor works on speeds 1-3 but not on 4. I checked the fuse and it looks fine. When I first started having trouble with it, it would go on if you left it on the 4 speed for about 30 seconds. But now it does not come on at all. What could it be? Thanks! BTW this is for a 1997 850 wagon.

Yes the check engine light did come on. It started blinking very fast then went solid as the cars performance degraded.
