Hey I used the drill a hole method, however I first cut a small flap with a razor blade then proceeded to drill the hole. Once fixed I glued the flap back in place you cannot see where I cut it now brilliant!

So here's the dilemma, Ive followed the very good thread to remove the dash and instrument cluster, no problems, I've found the little broken gear no worries, the problem is over here in Australia the cheapest replacement part I can find is 50 dollars, for a tiny little cog!
