Re: ABS sensor testing..
I'm dealing with this exact same process but my pins are way different. I am working on a 2000 and have a 99 parts car. Both are awd. example pins 1 and 2 are for the drivers front. weird.

Re: 01 v70 t-5 manual...ecu issues ack!
It seems that the question is too convoluted. A re-do... Does the ecu in an 01 and newer volvo need to be "married" (via the vin#) to more than just the immobilizer module in order to work? I read somewhere that it might also be matched to the throttle module. Any other thoughts? How about...

Re: lost key, have complete parts car...
I forgot to post the results of my efforts. on the 99 all that seems to be "married" is the ecu, immobilizer module (bottom of steering column), immobilizer ring (around the ignition), the ignition and key. Now thats a marriage!

01 v70 t-5 manual...ecu issues ack!
Hey all you Volvo people. Been a while since I posted last. I'm a lurker. :) I bought a hot lil wagon with a constant spray coming out of the middle injector. It hydro-locked and bent a rod. I fixed her all up and sent the ecu to a company in Michigan. It came back the same brick that I had sent out...

lost key, have complete parts car...
What would need to be swapped over to avoid a trip to the dealer...I have two 99's. an s70 awd and a v70xc...the v70 is a parts car. I know the key has a chip. I swapped out the ignition and the transponder ring and had the no start issue...then read about the immobilizer module that is right there ...

I figured that was all that was ness but the car will not stat. turns over like a champ but no start. Do i need to sw...

Re: front cam seal, the vvt pully side
Thanks for the pic. I have figured out part of the problem... I ordered the seals from fcp and their description of the "front" cam seals is screwy. There are two diff seals on the front as noted on the pic, #8 and # 16. one side seals around the cam one seals around the vvt pully thats bo...

front cam seal, the vvt pully side
I am working on a 2001 v70 t5 (5-spd!!). I replaced a bent rod and have it close to back together. I ordered new cam seals and all was well until I had a close look at the cam with the variable timing pulley. It seems that that side should have a seal that goes around the o.d. of the pulley where it...
