My Volvo S80 2.9 automatic will not accelerate. It is like it is driving in a safe mode. Any ideas how this can be remedied. Thanks.

Thanks for your input. I will see how I can best perform the job without having to remove the complete dash. Your help has been wonderful.

I was trying to avoid that because it looks look a headache to remove the dash. Maybe a piece could be fitted into the area where the bag has been inflated? Any further thoughts?
