Thanks to MVS I was able to do a 4 wheel brake job (pads & rotors) on my 2005 S40 2.4i this weekend. The only problem I encountered was the rear aftermarket braket pads were too thick & I had to file them down, not hard to do but unexpected. My question is why do they make the brake pads too...

I replaced the rear hub/bearing assembly on both sides of the rear of my 2005 S40 2.4i today. This is something most people with basic knowledge can do. Took about 45 min per side. Make sure you soak all bolts with PB Blaster or WD. You will need a 14-18 inch extension and a Torx sz 50 and basic too...

I crawled under my 2004 V70 2.4 this morning to ck out the fuel filter location in preparation for replacement & to my amazement it doesn't have one. Was there a mid-year change that put the fuel filter in the fuel tank?

Is there a dip stick on the tranny for a 04 V70 2.4? The English Haynes manual says there is but I cannot find one.
