So I have had this on going thing with my daughters 1990 240DL station wagon. So, here is the deal. I have a 1990 240 with cruise. I replaced the signal, wiper and cruise lever with one from a 1986 240. The wires and the plug don't match up. I looked in the manual and I don't see specific enough detail for me to match them up. Has anyone re-wired one of these?

I have to admit, I have not had the distributor cap off because it looks like it would really suck to remove...back against the fire wall and all...guess that is next

Yahooooooo. It was the ignition stage amplifier. Some sort of module that is mounted to the left fender by the air box. Some one from Turbobricks forum advised me.
