only big thing you should look for with these is the awd unit. unlike its later models xc70. the 98 had a gear based awd which was very touchy. its highly recommended that all tires are the same diameter. not just tire size(ex 195/65/15) but all tires need to be same tread depth or it could potentio...

yeah pretty much it. remove the tube that goes into the etm. two clamps. one at each end. should be four 10mm bolts that hold the etm onto the intake manifold. remove the wire connectors. there is a special chemical that volvo sells for cleaning throttles. u could just use carb cleaner on a rag and ...

just going back to the basics. if you fan doesn't work at all, seems more mechanical/electrical than what climate control codes would imply. i may be wrong but for me id start with checking fuse to the heather fan. if its fine. check for power/ ground at the motor itself.

so the fuse itself is getting hot for the windows? make sure first you have the right size fuse installed for them. you really shouldn't be able to feel any heat being generated from the fuse itself. do you have any access to a digital multimeter or test light? id check for power and ground and defi...
