1999 v70xc. I will be switching out the timing belt, tensioner and idler bearing because of a nasty bad bearing. Is it required to use a cam lock tool, or can you go without?

I just picked up two outer tie rods at the local Volvo shop (not dealer), one was stamped made in Germany and the other was suspiciously void of any markings. I paid the same for both, should I take them back and get two from the same manufacturer or I am I being too picky about Made in China parts?

It looks like I will need to remove some of the plastic cladding under the car before I can find this thing.

One 1999 v70xc pulling a p0442 small evap code. Would like to investigate the charcoal cannister and possible culprit the j-hose but I cannot find the said cannister.
Can anyone help?

That certainly looks like it, I will get some torx screws to fill in the remaining three holes to tidy that thing up.
