Re: 2000 S70 - Question about A/C compressor shim fix
I did mine with the car on ramps. After removing the gravel guard (two screws - one on each side) just lay on your back and look up at the compressor. You can check the gap with a feeler gauge if you're not sure it's out of spec. It's a little awkward to reach it but is quite doable. If the gap is ...

Re: 2001 S80 - AC abruptly started blowing warm air
I'll through my hat in this ring for help as well. Just got a call from the wife that hers started blowing hot air (100*+ in San Antonio today) but started working again after she made a stop at another store - got back in it and it worked. The same thing happened about 6-7 weeks ago. As luck always...

S80 Text Information Window dark
2001 S80 T-6 What began as not displaying the Miles Remaining Before Empty in the Text Information Window a couple of months ago has escalated to no display at all. When brought to the attention of my local dealer during a visit for other work, it was suggested that an aftermarket fuel meter would b...

Re: xc70 2001 text message light is out
Greetings, Did you solve your issue? I've got the same problem but on an S80. It began with not displaying remaining "miles before empty tank" and has progressed to no display at all. Dealer recommended aftermarket fuel gauge vs. repair when it was just the fuel display issue as a cheaper ...

Re: 98 s70 base: intermittent brake lights & dash bulb out l
Thanks Lee, I'll look there later because I think I've located the real culprit. I found this post later in my search and followed it to a successful test: < http://www.2carpros.com/forum/2001-volvo-s80-brake-lights-vt293274.html > The poster listed the RM15 relay as the problem. I never saw it labe...

Re: 98 s70 base: intermittent brake lights & dash bulb out l
I didn't see a reply but find myself curious as to whether you solved the mystery. My wife's S80 has developed the same problem and it's driving me nuts chasing it down. Center-top lights work fine. All bulbs are good. All fuses check fine. Break light work intermittently except for center-top, whic...

Re: S80 T6 antifreeze issue
This one struck a nerve! I have a leak on the top of my expansion reservoir about 1/8". I've purchased a new one w/cap for ~$70 locally. I cannot see what is holding the power steering fluid reservoir in place which is restraining me from lifting it high enough to replace the coolant jug [appea...
