What did you do incorrectly the first time with the fuel pump?
Ours seems to have the problem at 3000 rpm or higher as well. I have not replaced the mass air sensor as the problem "went away" after using better gas. But its more likely because we have been under the 3000 rpm around town.

I have recently found out the value of spending the extra for the higher octane gas. It has definatly made a differance with performance just in the daily commute. I'd recomend it. P.S. There is nothing "cheap" about these cars lol! Not even the gas, but thats the price to pay to drive suc...

My 850 is a manual. I'm told that it was the first year for awd and it only came in manual.
I'll have wait until the car gets back(wife has it at work)to look at the boot and see if the switch is under there.

Thanks for the ideas...........I also have 2 other issue that I've been trying to locate answers for here in the forums. 1. Reverse lights.........work sometimes, car is a standard and once in a while they work(very rare). I've tried to "wiggle" and move the shifter in the revesre position...

No I have not flushed the system......its on "the list". I was thinking maybe there is rust bulit up on the caliper where the pads are suposed to slide? Not allowing the to fully relax when released keeping them on just slightly all the time. Does this sound possible or am I totally out to...

The car has 207000km on it about 130000 miles. But like I said we just had the brake pads and rotors replaced 15000 miles ago.
To me that seems a little quick. If thats normal than I guess thats normal.

I had a look at the brakes on our 97 850. There is aprox. 20k on the pads and rotors. The fronts are about 1/2 inch thick yet but the backs are maybe 1/8 inch????? Any ideas what might cause this? Braking when driving feels normal, no grabbing or shaking. The TRACS ABS light is on intermitantly. Wou...

Do the switches "pop" out or do I need to remove the dash pannel and center console?
Are all the switch bulbs the same size(I'm guessing yes)?
I also notice that the only light on the radio is the channel display.
Any ideas for that problem?

Good to know, like I said they had a used one they wanted to sell me for $200.00.
