So there is a really strong squirt of fuel from the valve after a few minutes of idling this morning. First time it started up just fine. randomly will stall after 5-10 minutes idling.

I moved the Cam and Crank wiring away from the distributor and it still stalls randomly.

My gap tool only goes to .040" to I used a credit card as they are 0.030" thick. Pretty close to the 0.028" spect for these car. For those of you who don't have the right tool

I think you may be right in that it has been getting clean cool air instead of hot exhaust air. perhaps something got sucked up. I have felt it and it is sucking much less through the unattached pipe end than right after I did the manifold job.
