1995 15" wheels

I have a 1990 240 wagon with 14" wheels. Found a set of 15" aluminum wheels with new Michelins..wondering if the bolt pattern is the same?
thanks.

Re: 1990 240 Fuel Injector Connector Order

Did some investigation locally and found out the injectors are batch fired with connector order not critical. The factory does use a specific order when the car is built however. I connected them based on harness length and memory..the engine runs great. FYI.

1990 240 Fuel Injector Connector Order

I am replacing the engine in my 1990 240 wagon. When I removed the intake manifold off the blown engine, I didnt number the fuel injector connectors 1 to 4. Not sure if this is critical to the firing order. I think I read they all get pulsed at the same time so order doesnt matter. Does anyone know ...

Re: Belt Configuration

Bought 4 new belts..2 alt, one a/c compressor to p/s pump and one crank pulley to a/c compressor. Based on the length of the belts--the layout shown in the Haynes diagram must be "typical" but not specific to the 2.3L. With 3 sheaves on the crank pulley..2 are used up for the alternator an...

Re: Belt Configuration

Thanks Bill..going to get a complete set of 4 belts. I think I have some of the mounting brackets mis-positioned on the p/s pump since my alignments are out slightly..should have taken a picture of the mounting before pulling it apart. Jerry in Michigan.

Belt Configuration

I am trying to install the p/s pump(remote reservoir) and a/c compressor on a replacement engine mounting bracket. Can not find a good layout drawing of fan belt arrangement..what drives what. I know there are 2 belt driving the alt and I think the p/s pump is driven by the a/c compressor. We are co...

Re: Fuel Rail Variation

What I am going to try to do is transfer the complete intake from the original engine with the c.s. injector set up to the new motor. This seems to be the only difference I have noticed. That way the 1990 harness should plug into everything else including the injector...I hope. The 93 motor is in gr...

Fuel Rail Variation

I am replacing the engine (thrown rod) in my 1990 240 wagon. Found a low mileage 1993 engine (sedan) parts car..was running before it took a big hit in the front. I noticed my 90 has a small port on the fuel rail for I think a cold start injector connection..the 93 rail does not. Going to try and us...

Re: Large hole in block

As best I can tell, the seller bought the car for his daughter as a college commuter because of its crash worthiness. From the looks of the oil filter, its been awhile since it got and oil change and I am sure this is why the rod came out the side. I know the engine can go 4 or 500k miles with maint...

240 Flame Trap

Located my flame trap under the intake manifold. Can the cannister be removed for cleaning without removing the intake manifold? My Bentley says it can be cleaning with mineral spirits but it doesnt say if this can be done with it bolted to the engine. My oil fill cap bounces around on the valve cov...
