So the moral of the story really should be "Don't over tighten screw type hose clamps"

It was that short stubby PCV hose. I guess I over tightened it when I put it on. Ooops. I guess now I know why Volvo uses those horrible claspy clamps

haha, I did the exact same thing swedehast. I looped it around (what I thought was) the crankshaft and pulled it tight. Only after I felt with my fingers did I realize that it had gotten caught up on something. It's funny that everyone else does the same thing.
