It was an aftermarket one from German and Swedish,I mentioned that there were problems with non-oem ones but the guy assured me he had sold loads with no returns.
I will check the FPR,so if no fuel sprays everywhere its bad, right?

Bad mileage 10mpg
Ive had a problem with the check engine light on and very poor gas mileage,14mpg.I had the codes read and it flagged up front lambda, which i changed. Then it said rear lambda which i changed.I checked for vacuum leaks and there was a massive hole in the elbow just behind the thermostat housing which ...

Re: Check engine light
No problems with heating up,it has plenty of power and theres no hesitation.I wonder if it is the mass airflow sensor,if it was playing up could it fool the car into thinking there was a problem with lambda sensors?

Re: Check engine light
Thank you for the advice but Im not throwing parts at it at all.The code reader said front lambda 1st,which i replaced, then rear lambda, which i replaced.I checked for vacuum leaks as the good people here suggested,i found one and repaired it.Then my mechanic said it could be the temp sender so i cha...

Engine ecu location please
Hi,
After changing both O2 sensors I still have the pesky light on my dash.Im going to try changing the ecu but i dont know where it is.
Is it correct that i have to have it programmed at Volvo?
Many thanks Peter

Re: Fault in the engine electronic system
All lights out now  That was wierd yesterday,i just connected the 2 plugs without bolting the module back in place and only the abs light was on.When I bolted it back in place I was a bit cheesed off because both lights were back on but as you correctly said after taking it for a short driv...

Re: Fault in the engine electronic system
The lambda light came on only the other day, that was the only fault flagged.Im hoping it was just a drop of duff fuel set the lambda light on but if not i`ll have to put a new sensor in.Im right in the middle of putting the abs module back on after re-soldering it.I`ll take it for a spin to go throu...

Re: Fault in the engine electronic system
Re-set the lambda light today,no other fault codes flagged up.Also turned off the annoying service light.I will post again after the module is re-soldered tomorrow.
Did find a leak on the steering pinion seal but ive posted seperately about that if anyone has an answer.
