Re: Codes 1-3-2 and 1-1-3

Thanks for your suggestion. I was thinking the same thing to start with since it's a common failure. Going to go ahead and get a new one. I'll update in a couple weeks to let you know what happens.

A6 yielded nothing. No change yet.

Codes 1-3-2 and 1-1-3

Hello everyone. I've been researching posts about these codes on this site as well as Google. Based on my symptoms (CEL, stalls on the interstate once every few days, and takes 2 turn-overs before it starts [it used to fire up on first try]), I'm thinking Fuel Pump Relay for 1-1-3 Short term fuel tr...

Re: "Sounds electrical"-Has anyone had this problem?

Hi. Thanks for the info. I found out my amp is "going." I adjusted the gain and I had to turn it almost all the way down before the subs would hit. Maybe something happened when my alternator blew.

"Sounds electrical"-Has anyone had this problem?

Hi. All of the following has taken place over 6 months. I just have not had the time to work on it all at once. Here we go. I have a stereo system in my 94 850. 2 12"s, nothing serious. When I switch the car power to ACC, I get lots of bump, no problems. When I start the car, MOST OF THE TIME, ...

Re: Any special tools needed to replace control arms?

UPDATE

Got the control arm replaced. This fixed my pull to the right when I stepped on the brakes. The alignment seems to have fixed my "rear drifting" problem as well. The mechanic said the bushing was so bad on the control arm that when he got it loosened, it just fell out.

Re: Rear wheels "drifting"

UPDATE

Got the control arm put on and alignment done. The alignment seems to have solved the problem. I also got new tires on the back.

Thanks!

Re: New to Volvos & Forum-possible clogged oil trap

I must say I am thoroughly enjoying this post because I am learning so much. It seems PCV is a hot topic all of a sudden so I checked for smoke coming out of my dipstick and there it was. There is also an oil leak on the right side of the engine (if you're looking at from under the hood) but it is n...

Re: Any special tools needed to replace control arms?

Ok. I've got an appointment for the control arm and tierods (the boots are torn) for this weekend. The control arm is NAPA with a 1-year warranty. I assume most of you on here have replaced the control arms on your own, and I think most shops use whatever company they have contracts with, so do you ...

Re: 94 850 - Just purchased and already fixing up

Thanks again. I'm going to have to get one of those since I broke it putting a stop/light switch in. However, the cruise wasn't working prior to that. I looked through some past threads and I'm going to start with the vacuum lines and keep on going.
