1998 S70 T5 - Should I buy this car?
Hi Everyone, I've sold my base 1998 V70 and had high hopes of up upgrading to a 1998 S70 GLT or T5. I thought I had found one that looked good (online, at least). The problem? I am located in Oklahoma City and the car is in Dallas. If I was serious about the car the drive would not be a big deal - h...

more info on upgrades?
Hi Andreas,
I like the recommendations that you made above. I'm thinking about buying a pristine 1990 740 GL but would love to have a little more power than 114hp. I know nothing about mods...how much would your list above cost?
Thanks!
Brook

Possible Project Car...Need Help!
Hi Everyone, I live in Norman, OK and own a 1998 V70. A "1983 Volvo Wagon" was advertised in the Oklahoma City paper. They are asking $600 and the ad says it needs new motor mounts and a fuse for the windows. I have not gone and looked at the car or have yet to get ahold of the guy selling...

The Dealer says you can't re-program a V70 Keyless entry?!
Hi All, I've ordered a keyless entry remote for my 1998 V70. I've seen on this site that I will have to take it to a dealer to re-program. I've called around to a few dealers who are quoting me anywhere from $50- $120 to do this - but one dealer said you cannot re-program them at all!! I don't think...

Ahhh...the old cardboard trick! Why didn't I think of that!? I stuffed some cardboard in my dash also (right above the cracks) and about 90% of the squeaks went away - which will save my sanity and my checkbook. However, the cardboard is flexable and it will get too squished with time, thus allowing...

These all sound like good solid leads - thanks everyone. I looked at my dash today, hoping to see the there was something wrong with the screws and I found that the top most part of my dash is cracked in several places - so now I'm afraid to take the long strip part off (the part that is cracked) - ...

Dashboard Rattle - is there ANY way to muffle the pain!?!?
Hi Everyone, I bought this car last year as my first new-to-me car. Although my 1998 V70 was a fixer-upper, I'm proud of many of the fixes I've made myself and I'm really starting to love my car. EXCEPT - it rattles. I've seen the posts on here...other people have this problem too...but I've seen no...

Success!!
To everyone who offered words of wisdom - I think that all my troubles were related to poor tire pressure - my tires were all b/t 24-27 PSI. While they did not look under inflated - they sure were!! Now I'm getting 26MPG and I'm starting to love my Volvo again! Thanks! -Brook, a newbie who is becomi...
