I would do what jblackburn said - check the cam shaft seals. I bought my 850 with a massive oil leak, told it was most likely something on the front side of the engine, a 5 hour job, and it turned out to be just the cam shaft seal on the firewall side of the engine. It took 45 minutes to fix and $12...

My 850 radiator fan is not kicking in. How do I test it? Using a voltage tester I do see juice going to the fan (black wire) and to the relays (on the frame above the radiator). Just not sure where to go next.

How do I remove the center console in my 97 V850? I have undone the two 8mm bolts at the rear inside the storage compartment, but can't free it from whatever is holding it in the front by the dashboard. Very afraid of breaking some plastic here.

My V850 non turbo has recently lost power when going up hills or trying to accelerate from standing.
