I just had that problem two weeks ago. It went on for about a week then I tapped on the radio (just below the display) with my fingers and the light came right back up. It works fine now and never saw them out again (cross my fingers).

I have the same problem as you described with my 2000 V70. It started about a year ago only briefly when changing mode but now it looks likes it is more frequent. It is now happening by itself and last a little longer.

Did you get a resolution for yours?

Has anyone have access to the OBDII code P1670. I just got that on my 2000 V70 and there is a strange grinding noise when driving above 30mph like if there was something touching a tire.
