Hi Guys, I have a 2001 v70 T5 and also got code P0447. The EVAP vent valve is more accurately called the Pierburg Purge Valve which can be ordered from partsgeek.com or autopartswarehouse.com. I replaced the old one and Voila! no more check engine light. I passed the NJ state insp. yesterday. JohnnyO

Thanks, Toronthab. My tailgate mechanism has been working intermittently. Some days it locks and unlocks then in other days it just won't unlock. For no apparent reason it will unlock after a day or two. Now it's been working for the last two weeks. Next time it won't unlock I'll try your suggestion.

Thanks, MelangeX3. Right now my tailgate is OK, i.e. it locks and unlocks. I have checked the wires at the hinge for breaks but they all look OK. The next time it doesn't work I'll follow your advise and check the relays.

Thanks. I'll take a closer look tomorrow. I tried looking for a key slot but couldn't see any. The only thing that's rubber or plastic that I saw were the lever you press and the rubber surrounding the license plate lights.
