Thanks for the update, I hate that you had to spend that kinda money for the problem to continue.
Have you tried doing a voltage drop test on the ground side of the battery and engine? Also, it might not hurt to inspect and ensure the ground cables are secure and corrosion free.
Hope this helps!

Re: '06 XC90 2.5 "Surging Idle" 92k miles
Awesome, I hope you get it fixed. I love my XC90! Is there anyway you can post the DTC code, so that we can help a little more. By you saying, "replaced the gas cap", I am taking a leap and guessing the code was something for the EVAP system. Which might have been a P04XX range, but please...

Re: Bulb Failure Position Light
To help solve the "Slap" fix, use Dielectric grease when installing new lights. My XC90 was horrible at throwing warning messages about bulbs being out, especially after coming back from the car wash. I found that moisture was getting into the connections and burning the bulb and/or fuse. ...

Re: '06 XC90 2.5 "Surging Idle" / Please Help!
I had the same issue, I would get an idle surge when coming to a stop at a stop light. I ended up taking my throttle body off and cleaning it, and also replacing the PCV system. As for finding vacuum leaks, a smoke machine would be your best bet. I built my own smoke machine using a fog machine that...

Re: HVAC goes offline restart tends to fix!?!
Since I've never taken a "used" car to a dealer before...I'll assume they charge for such things when the vehicle is out of warranty, correct? Anyone with the Vadis can do these type of flashes too? If I am not mistaken, It's going to be a dealer fix. The software "flash" is act...

Re: enlighten me on two sizes of front rotors?
I had the same issue on my '04 XC90. I took the wheel and rotor off, and it was stamped on the inside portion of the "hat" of the rotor (316mm). But, in your case, I would get the VIN number and call the dealership. They should be able to tell you the size that is on there. If not, you hav...
