Re: Turbo Control Valve Indication
Found the TCV. 2 of the hoses look a little suspicious so I'm going to replace them. I decided to open a few things up (I have a severe oil leak on the back side of the engine) to make sure that the hoses elsewhere are intact. I'm also finally going to get at the seals on the Turbo oil return lines....

Re: No 3rd Gear
Sorry for no reply's. Have been traveling for work. laddyboy, no fix yet but all life points to the shifting solenoid. Thank you dcarlson12!! It's going to be no fun but we're going to dig into it. The pdf's will help a ton. Have to figure out my Turbo Control Valve issue first. Don't have a clue as...

Turbo Control Valve Indication
My 2000 S80 T6 engine suddenly won't run. Engine will barely start. Runs extremely rough if at all. I have a P1238 "Turbo Control Valve" indication. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what has happened and what my next steps would be?! I am looking to fix it myself. Thanks!!

Re: Glove Compartment
I was just fixing the latch on my 2000 S80. You can access the strut from an access hatch on the right side of the dash. If you pull up on the strut it will just push on the round mount. Chances are one or two of the little plastic clips are broken and it will slip off again. A new on will cost you ...

No 3rd Gear
I have been getting service transmission service codes since I bought the car used. It's P1618 "Fault in lead between AW 50-52 and Motronic 4.3" and P0756 "Shift Solenoid B Performance or Stuck Off". Since the rest of the car's condition indicates neglect rather than abuse I repl...

Re: Transmission Flush
My old fluid was brown but not burnt. The magnet did it's job but nothing more than the very fine particles. Since my warnings are intermittent I'm assuming the solenoid is functioning but hopefully just a little gunked up. Me and my wallet are hoping that with a little help with the cleaning produc...

Transmission Flush
I just read the posts on the Ipd transmission flush hose kit. I was about to buy one but I'm thinking I need a little coaching. My story: I can't smoothly accelerate from a stop with my 2000 S80 (car is new to me). It is also seems to be slipping (reving up) when going into 3rd and 4th. I get an occ...
