Re: 2003 v70 making a whining sound from engine
Thanks guys, I will do all of those, or at the very least check. I hope that cleaning the throttle body isn't a problem. I guess that would be a garage issue or dealer.

2003 v70 making a whining sound from engine
Another perplexing issue has arose from my good ol' V70. Let say I run it up to 1500rpm (in park), now I never let up off the pedal, I just hold it at that one spot. The RPM goes up then after a second or two it will drop down 500 or more. What ever the problem is, I feel it is the reason for the hi...

Re: 2003 V70/dies while making right turn!
when the engine dies, everything shuts down. I think it might be a computer issue, or a fuel pressure regulator issue-FPR isn't that expensive; however, if it's the computer i'm looking at around a grand.

2003 V70/dies while making right turn!
Anyone heard of this problem? While making a right turn the engine just dies! This occurs several times a week, the steering wheel and brakes are so hard to operate that its a wonder I haven't been involved in an accident; however, the car starts right back up. I've upgraded my fuel, used sea-foam f...

Re: 2003 v 70 front brake pad replacement
Thanks Vegasjetskier, I just downloaded and printed out a copy of the thread and pics. After reading through a hundred threads there would be more information on the subject. I guess I have to take a chance as to whether or not the 80 and the 70 have the same braking system; i'm moving my laptop out...

2003 v 70 front brake pad replacement
After a $495 quote for front brake pad replacement (no doubt they will recommend a roter replacement aswell), I was hoping someone might have a step by step instruction manual or just a good memory of past experience. I understand that after I jack up the front end, remove the wheel I should use a 7...

Re: v70 fuel filter issue
Thanks to everyone! I will have to check the vin for the ULVE (good grief), engine number. If thats the case, should I just wait on the filter or should I have it changed out? It has 88,000 miles on it and as far as I know its never been changed. It all started with trouble code P0420, I replaced al...

v70 fuel filter issue
Okay, the 2003 v70 is jacked up in my garage and I have a replacement fuel filter in my hand but.....where's the filter? Everyone has advised me that it is in front of the rear passenger side axel (not true!) This all started with a trouble code P0420. Is it possible that it may be in the ce...
