Looks like a possible exhaust cam seal? Seems to be above where the waterpump housing is so could also be valve cover?
More pictures from above on the firewall side might be helpful.

OK I hope this helps. It goes from the front of the separator up through the bottom of intake to the nipple on the upper intake where the clamped hose in the picture goes. Nothing more. This is a very simple system compared to the 5 cylinders.

I will try when I get home this evening and see if I can get a better angle. The hose you point to on my pic is available at FCP and is part of the kit referenced by oragex above- FYi. I will post when I have more pics.

I have the same engine as is a non turbo 2004 6. I ran the VIN decoder and came out same engine. On mine the hose comes out the top forward connector and turns to go up to the intake manifold.

Am I looking at this correctly and these patches are a fix for the No Valid Subscription issue?
Correct
I have installed them on the host on the root of the host drive- is this correct?
If you are running Vida in a VM this is incorrect. You get the patches into the VM and install them in ...

Re: 2001 V70 T5M Intermittent Driveline Vibration
Yes it is possible one or more of the CVs are bad. My wife's 2004 S80 2.9 174,xxx miles had a very bad shutter at highway speed only while accelerating. Had both axles replaced and now smooth and quiet. My 2003 XC70 has same shutter at lower speed but I suspect one of the aftermarket axles I put on ...

Re: 2001 V70 T5 Overheated Needs Head gasket am I crazy
On two occasions after rebuilt head I had the tic that I swore was a lifter (one domestic v8 and one red block turbo) and both were head to exhaust manifold leak. On the v8 had the dealer stumped for a bit as well. Considering you don't think the sound is louder inside the valve cover use a ...

Re: DIM failure on 02 V70T5 Any options?
I just replaced mine with a xemodex pre-rebuilt unit for my wife's 2003 XC70. Started with the clock counting up and up and up. Then DIM would just go dead- blank. No rhyme or reason as to when- warm or cold. The method I chose is more expensive (pre-rebuilt which is $100 more than sending in your ...
