Other than play in tie rod ends, ball joints, hub bearings, etc. - which I would assume you've already ruled out, torquing the lugs may sometimes be the culprit; VIDA calls for two-stage torquing in a star-pattern (1-3-5-2-4) first at 20 Nm then to final torque. I do like abscate's "2 spares" approach to identifying a misfiring cylinder. I must get to a junkyard. I have a couple spares, that I picked up at the Pick-n-Pull for $5 each, sitting on the garage shelf. The big question is whether they will still still work after being knocked off the shelf onto ...

Can you see if the DiCE will light up when connected to the OBDII only (no USB to computer)? If not then the 12 V on the CARB connector isn't there, you may want to look for a recessed/broken/bent pin just in case, or a blown fuse

Re: What octane to use?

In theory, the Engine Management will still handle lower octane fuels with the trade-off of degraded performance due to retarded ignition timing. I run mid-grade top tier in my 02 S60 n/a and can't say I have noticed a significant difference but I still know the engine is quite happier with it than ...

It could be the pads or even a hub bearing 'on the go' - or it could be a very easy one - like a rotor touching a bent dust shield.
I would attempt to duplicate and localize the source (maybe a particular wheel), and then do a thorough visual before taking stuff apart

Make sure that the sensor harness is routed correctly and the conector is clean and dry. Oh yes... Excessive gaps = excessively high voltage in the secondary, which kills the coils in a short order.

Did you massage the coolant hose to the T-stat housing; this may help bleed the air trapped in the system. I hope the T-stat is correctly positioned with the bleed orifice facing forward

The sound in the video distinctly points to a high-voltage arc; I think at least one cylinder keeps 'missing' because of that. I would take look again at the ignition components first (could be a loose ignition wire at the dist. cap or plug)

With a gauge, you can read the actual oil pressure at different engine RPM and compare it with the specified values for your engine; a good Oil P-sensor and trouble light can only alert you that the pressure is below minimum.

Three quick questions:
1.what is the condition of your control arm bushings?
2.do you have the 'before' and 'after' readings from the alignment?
3.which settings did the Tech change during the alignment?

The hood closed switch is usually 'cured' if you drop the hood from at least 12" to close with a bang (ugly but works). To minimize the mess, you could try suctioning most of the oil from the bores with a syringe+some tubing through the plug ports, and then crank. To be on the safe side, I would not hesitate about changing that $5.00 oil filter before cranking her up again. Let's hope she runs nice again, good luck :D
