Re: 99 S80 Navigation

Dont mean to rain on your parade but has the transmission been looked at? Do you have full history? Because when it fails (and it will) you wont have any warranty and the satnav would be the least of your problems. I have a 98 T6 with only 57k milage and i am having major problems with my geartronic...

Re: S80 transmission identify-solenoid problems

I had this problem last year on my 56k mileage car.
It needed a strip down and solenoid replaced. this cost me over £1k.
Mine has geartronic which the gearing was intermitten. It wouldn't select first and fourth gears.
Alls well now.....until that is another electrical problem rears its ugly head!

Re: 2002 VOLVO S80 T6 TRANSMISSION PROBLEM

I wish this was posted 6 months ago as my transmission selector gave up the ghost. It needed a full strip and replaced which cost me over £1k to fix.
It struggled to select 4th in auto mode.
Works fine now!
Not sure if this applies to UK spec motors :(

Oh! It had only done 56k miles
