Well the cork appears to be working. Although I did notice that it worked its way up a bit. I'll have to come up with a more permanent solution. My lungs and the planet thank you. I will also look at my PCV system again to make sure it is working.

Anyone know more about this? The smell is killing me! I am ready to fill the hole with sealant.

Re: Steam coming out the exhaust

I'm in Florida so the only water that would get in there would be from the 90% humidity

Re: I'm just going to accept this thing is always going to l

Justin: What do you mean it is sealed off from the inside? Mine clearly goes through since after I took this picture and drove it, it filled back up with oil. That is why I am sure this is where the oil is coming from. Can I seal this off with RTV?

Re: I'm just going to accept this thing is always going to l

Yes it goes through the valve cover. I cleaned the oil out and there is a passage. Here is the photo. So what bolts on here? Am I missing a part? Wish I had the old head to see what was on it or if it even had this passage? Would a bad PCV system cause pressure to push oil up through this hole?

Re: Steam coming out the exhaust

After the initial observation of the steam it is fine now. I guess that there was water in the exhaust system that burned off.
