Help with parts Needed in Southern RI
I don't have a car that needs to be fixed (currently), but I could use someone's expertise in the Volvo area. I picked up a large amount of Volvo parts (long story) and I can only identify maybe 1/4 of what I have in the piles. I saw the opportunity to buy the parts and took it because I would have ...

Re: Advice on '01 V70 T5
Well 6k is the asking price and I would hope to get that down and work any fixes into the price to get my moneys worth. And its $6k Also, while I am thinking of it, does anyone know how many miles these 2nd gen. v70's are usually good for? Assuming maintenance is done right* The engine is relatively...

Re: Advice on '01 V70 T5
Ok so I will have to look into the trans service and see what I can find out about that. Ill probably drive the car again to see if I can get a better read on whats going on. As far as the suspension goes, when a rebuild is done what does that entail for a V70 of this year and mileage? Lastly is 125...

Advice on '01 V70 T5
I have an opportunity to pick up a 2001 V70 T5 with 125k for around 6 grand. Car will be fully serviced and inspected before all is said and done. Looks great, has 3rd row, immaculate interior for 10yrs old, navigation and cd/tape player. It is a 1 owner car also. The car drove fine and stopped fine...

Re: Headlamp Wiper (interchangeable parts?)
So speaking of these massively annoying little parts, the passenger side wiper motor will not turn off on my car! The wiper arm does not move unless you tap it, at which point it stays in the upright position and will not come back down until it randomly decides to do so. The washer fluid does not c...

Strut/Susp. on '96 850
I had the Volvo (1996 850 Turbo wagon) in the shop because I have been hearing a loud clunking/banging in the front left side when going over rough roads and/or when turning. The shop replaced the control arm and called it a day. I still hear the noise so I did some investigating myself and this is ...

Re: Advice on a '96 855r for sale...
My last 850 had the same problem. About half way through the wipe cycle it would lift right off the window and leave a large space uncleared. I tried everything from different wipers, tightening the screw that holds the arm on, and even taking the arm off and hammering it into more of a curve, and i...

Re: Advice on a '96 855r for sale...
The service light went off after a few minutes, same as my '97 850. I wasn't too worried about that light in particular, but the CEL is an issue that I'm thinking will have to be looked into further. Also, if the Abs controller is fixed the two lights will go off?
