An update for those who may have wanted to know.

It had been a lawn orniment for the last 8 months.
I found a genuin mechanic who thanked me for giving him the opportuinity to play with it.
Today i got the call saying it was ready to be picked up.
Still yet to pick it up and confirm his findings ...

I now have some time coming up to address these issues. so im going to start answering and asking more.

I hope this helps, first check the rated resistance on your speakers then on the amp, If the subs are too old the voice coil may have deteriorated, offering less resistance to the amp, therefore the amp may think "oh no I'm going to supply too much power to the speakers" then shuts itself off to ...

Tacho works 80% of the time after repacing the eletrical side of the ignition switch. It does occasionally bounce around both above and below the level i think it would be reving at.

For problem 2, check to see if the horns are even plugged in. The horn switch on 850s is a known problem where the insulator breaks down and the horn gets stuck on. May folks just unplug the horns and forget about it.
