great thanks! After I finish all these repairs I will eventually get around to replacing the frame of the car....it is always something!

Just one more question: The ignition switch replacement looks like a tough job based on this (http://volvospeed.com/Repair/ignition_S80.html). Is this the same job or is there a switch that engages the key that I can change out? Any links?

I have been reading for months. I have replaced both the shift lock micro switch (under shifter in console) and the hazard switch BUT occassionally the car won't shift out of park.
