1993 850 dampers inactive
After doing much research on the forums here, I'm still unsure of what exactly is going on with ECC (auto), so here it is. Not too long ago, I noticed that I wasn't getting heat through the floor vents when the floor was selected on my ECC. However, when I switched it to Auto, the floor vents would ...

'95 850 Turbo Engine Shake
I stopped at a stop sign the other day, and could feel a consistent shake coming from my engine. At first I thought it was an engine mount (I noticed that my top mount bushing is kind of on its way out), but the next time I started the car I noticed a kind of misfire or strain when I turned the igni...

Re: Trunk latch doesn't... latch.
I had a success tonight with the wrench method. Just about had the latch assembly out of the hatch, and gave it two good whacks out of frustration and curiosity. Sure enough, it works.

850 Hood Latch Cable
I currently need to replace the driver's side hood latch cable that runs from the cabin to the latch. My question is: do I need to buy a cable specifically for this purpose, or can I find a cable that will work elsewhere?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: 850 Idler Pulley Bracket
Its stuck towards the bottom of the bracket, down where the belt wheel is. I've felt all around there, and can't find any more bolts holding the thing in - does anybody know exactly how many bolts are supposed to attach it to the car?

850 Idler Pulley Bracket
I'm in the midst of removing my alternator, and the last thing between me and the final alternator bolt is the bracket that holds the idler pulley. I'm pretty sure I've removed all the bolts holding the bracket in, but I still can't get the bracket out. I've seen a few write-ups, but details on the ...

850 Glove Compartment will not open
Last week, my glove compartment decided to not open anymore.
Anybody ever had this happen to them? If so - how did you get it open again?
I'm really hope I don't have to due much cosmetic damage to my dashboard.
Thanks.

Re: '95 850 ECC
Well, I tore into it this afternoon. I think the blower motor had seized up - I took it out and hooked it to the battery and it ran, and after re-installing it, everything else worked without any issues.
Thank you all for your suggestions.

Re: '95 850 ECC
Thank you for very much. This has me hoping that the fix will be a lot less complicated than I originally planned.
What's the best way to get to the damper motor?

'95 850 ECC
My automatic ECC recently stopped working completely. I pulled up the DTC's from the self-diagnostics, and this is what I have: 211: driver's side damper motor position sensor shorted or open circuit 321: driver's side damper motor active too long 323: ventilation damper motor active too long 411: p...
