I had CEL code P0088 and have changed both the sensor and the electronic fuel injection control module. Code disappeared for a few km but now it's back and fuel pressure is steady around 570kpa - any ideas about what to try next? Car is running fine, but fuel economy in the city is terrible.

New question then - my FPCM is still in front of the tank. Is there an easy way to relocate it - ie clear path for drilling and routing cable to spare wheel well and is this necessary? Connection looks good, so I assume the unit is toast as pressure is at 650kpa and fuel economy really sucks. Also, ...

Ok - so I made the leap and bought the car and it's mostly good. Changed the fuel pressure sensor and still getting CEL P0088 - fuel rail pressure too high. Should I try the regulator next?
