I have a V40 2.0 petrol 2000, and need to replace the rear springs (one snapped, replacing both) have changed springs on other cars before, but before I start on the V40, has anyone got any advise so I can avoid any 'nasty surprises' once I've pulled it all apart

I have a Volvo V40 2.0 petrol 2000, and the petrol light on the dash remains on constantly. I know diagnosis is impossible on a forum, but could anyone give me any pointers to look for before it goes int the Volvo garage
